Physical Description:
Cain is rather tall for his age, standing at about 5.8" tall. He has a high case of metabolism, which makes him pretty skinny, though not exactly scrawny. Cain has blue eyes and black hair, with a white streak in. This comes from an accidentally misfired spell by his older brother, resulting in pigment loss at that spot. He doesn't really mind though.
he also has a pretty weird fashion sense, when it comes to casual clothing.

Personality:
He is a rather modest person at the first look, but that's just an impression. Cain loves adventure and has quite the background of prank making. However, he can be pretty distrustful towards other people when he first meets them, but quickly grows to either like them or dislike them. Cain is playful and always tried to look at thing the positive way, even cooking. Truth doesn't change though, he is a HORRIBLE cook. Don't ever let him near a stove or cooking magic.
Once he finds someone he wants to befriend, he tries to do it, and it doesn't really matter to him who it is and how he does it, which has put him in some rather tricky situations.
to sum him up, Cain is gentle yet playful, and can also be rather rude when time seems fit. He has a terrible memory for numbers and symbols, making it quite hard for him in History of Magic and Arithmancy. Quite the prankster, but still not really forward enough to complete one on his own. Thus one of the reasons as to why he is so loyal to his friends. Another bad side to him is that he can be rather gullible, and also sliiiightly stupid. or slow, if you prefer to call it that.

Likes:
enjoys reading, though grows bored of it after a while. he prefers being out in the sun, or running around in the castle discovering new things and rooms. Cain also enjoys eating. a lot.

Dislikes:
the snow or the cold, you choose. sure, He loves snow fights, but then comes the aftereffect of him getting wet and then sick, ending up in the hospital wing for a week with a fever. He also really dislikes people who lies, and those who aren't loyal to their friends. Seeing someone bullied is also one of the things he hates.

Family and History:
Cain grew up in the outskirts of London, in a villa together with his mother and older brother. His father died when he was 4 years old in an Auror accident, though Cain himself has no memory of it. His father, Cain has been told, was a very kind and humoristic man with a good and strong heart. Cain's mother Sophie is gentle and always thinks the best of her children, even when they're caught in the middle of a prank or joke. She brought up her kids with the firm statement that weather muggle or wizard, you're still human and deserve to be treated kindly until you prove otherwise. (Sophie's own mother is a muggle, and her father a wizard.)
She truly enjoys house chores, and is pretty frantic in her cleaning. She excels at cooking, something Cain definitely hasn't inherited.
Cain's older brother, who already graduated from Hogwarts two years ago now follows his father's footsteps as an Auror at the Ministry of Magic. Jake, has grown up quite a bit, and has stopped pranking altogether. He is also rather dense, but has a high sense of what is right and what is wrong.

Cain, during his years before Hogwarts bonded slightly with both muggles and wizards, and enjoyed the company of both. He was much more bashful and shy during his childhood, mostly because he was being partly bullied by a gang of boys down the street. (His brother carefully took care of them, though nothing of this has been told to Cain. he just know that one day there was a rather pathetically gang of toads lurking outside their house.)
He stayed home a lot with his mother too, when he wasn't out with his brother or potential friends. Since he didn't go to any preschool before Hogwarts, his mother tutored him at home. This has led to him having a very close bond to his mother, and not too many normal friends at home, except for a few. Cain had one best friend though, Julia. And she still is now, as a matter of fact. She's a muggle that's been living as his family's neighbours since he was seven years old, and they've been best mates since. He found it hard not being able to tell her, or her mom, about magic during the first couple of years, but then learned to live with it. his mother and her father are also good friends, and they started regularly meeting in town over a coffee the year he was accepted to Hogwarts.

When entering Hogwarts, one probably hasn't seen a more excited kid. He got lost quite a bit during his first year which has partly fired his love for exploring the castle. Also, during that year he didn't take studies too seriously, and the same with the second year. However that changed when he entered his third year.
During his first year he was also known to be quite the loner, since he hadn't still adapted to only wizards around him. During the peaceful summer between his first and second year, Cain decided that it was time for a slight change. he started hanging out more in the common room and the great hall, in order to get to know his fellow students a bit better. He has gotten much better at communicating, and his third year went on smoothly and the teachers opinion was raised quite abruptly when he showed that he actually could take his studies seriously, and fight to get a good grade, since Cain decided that now was the time to get better grades and really think about his future. It's always been a dream of his to work with magical creatures. Some of his teachers still look at him pretty sceptically because of his earlier attitude, but he's good on his way of growing up.
Cain has had a pretty fluent and nice life so far, and he doesn't mind hardships coming at him. He was not overly fond of becoming a prefect however, but he is adapting rather quickly. He also just found out that he actually has a twin, something that changed his views upon his family rather drastically.
